Founded
in 1992 by Niall Caven, the current Chief Executive, originally
as a Hotel and Leisure Consultancy trading as MSI (Management
Services International).
With the
arrival of the current Director of Hotel Operations, Nick
Sonley, the Company gradually moved towards Hotel ownership
in 1994.
Zoffany
Hotels, the new name since 1999, concentrated on the then
unfashionable town centre hotels, predominately aiming at
business customers.
A steady
stream of acquisitions has increased the portfolio to its
current size of nine hotels with in excess of 600 bedrooms.
This growth
has been recognised by Zoffany Hotels appearing two years
running in the top twenty fastest-growing private UK companies.
Zoffany
place great emphasis on selection, reward and training of
staff whom we regard as our most vital ingredient for the
future development of our group.
Customer
satisfaction is all to us. We monitor and respond to this
in many ways, including our "Beyond Expectations"
and "Mystery Customer" programmes.
Zoffany
Hotels believe in a strongly de-centralised management system
with significant power and responsibility held at local hotel
level.
By strictly
adhering to our standards and criteria we expect to maintain
another 10 years of dynamic growth and success by which time
we will have consolidated our position as one of the UK's
most innovative and exciting Hotel Groups.
